L’Oracle de Susamesh is an interactive show that combines improvisation, choreography, soundpainting and world domination.
This show takes the form of a semi-improvised series of 3 episodes. Its objective? To tell an epic story using all dimensions of improvisation: improvisation in play, in reaction to external events, improvised staging. It involves framing these free moments with stage elements prepared in advance: filmed scenes, choreography, special effects, songs, texte readings, drawings, etc.
The series is about the gradual return of the Assyrian goddess Susamesh, and the resistance that is put in place to counter her return. If the allegiance of each actor is defined beforehand, it can evolve over the course of the story. The audience also has a role to play, as they fundamentally represent the rest of the world subjected to Susamesh’s return.
Each episode will unfold according to common characteristics:
- lasting approximately 1h30
- an opening scene + a final scene followed by credits
- around fifteen main roles + the presence of “chameleons” actors who will work on setting up the scenes, possibly in recurring or non-recurring secondary roles.
- a bursting stage space and varied lights; The objective is to offer different atmospheres but also to work on the transitions between scenes: fade, confrontation, opposition…
- audioence participation
- a live production, orchestrated according to a graphic score (the instructions to the actors will be given using a common language to be invented)
