20 Years of Architecture in 125 Words
For two decades, CoCo Architecture has explored architecture in all its forms, nurturing a hands-on, all-terrain approach. The firm proudly embraces its roots in the countryside, staying close to landscapes, local realities, and craftsmanship. Operating in a decentralized way with three rural studios and a team of about twenty, everyone contributes to the renowned “méthodoCoCo”: a blend of multidisciplinary collaboration and rigorous organization.
How to capture this work and collective adventure? How to reveal the invisible strengths that define the firm beyond a mere project catalog? How to discuss their driving themes—space usage and quality, the right material in the right place, short supply chains, programming—yet keep it light?
By returning to an Enlightenment-era format: the dictionary. This book offers a list of concepts rather than a sequence of buildings, weaving reflections on what has been built or imagined, the principles that guide the firm, and the rhythms of daily practice.
A slightly subjective take on architecture, inviting readers to explore at will!
